SOUTH AFRICA - a little recap of our two months overlanding in South Africa. More following soon. 🫶🏼🇿🇦 OUR 2025 IN AFRICA 🌍 - This is by far my favourite post of 2025, because it is the perfect short recap of our life in Africa for the past year. (Can't say I didn't have a few happy tears looking back at it 🤫🥹). So grateful to be on this once in a lifetime experience travelling the world and to share it with you all. I truly hope we can change the stereotype of Africa, if only a little bit at a time. & That one day everyone will see Africa the way that we do... WE MADE IT! 🔥 - Our goal was to drive from The Netherlands to Mozambique in 2025 and now, on Christmas day, exactly 11 months later we are here & we are so happy! We'll celebrate NYE on the beach with Irene's childhood best friend.🩷 & then it's time for part 2 of this overlanding adventure in our Land Cruiser Troopy. FAV PICS OF BOTSWANA P. 2 🇧🇼 - Going to Botswana? Don't skip the saltpans. You will feel almost alone in this world. But not only the salt pans & the Okavango delta are worth visiting: You will find surreal landscapes away from civilization everywhere in Botswana. Botswana truly is the overlanders dream if solitude in nature & wildlife is what you are looking for. FAV PICS OF BOTSWANA P. 1 🇧🇼 - So did we tell you about that time broke down BADLY right in the middle of nowhere (Khwai Development Trust/Magotho) with hippos, buffalos and some lions near? If you missed it, go watch our highlights of overlanding in Botswana. OUR OVERLANDING LIFE - It doesn't get more free than this for us. Completely alone on the huge Makgadikgadi salt pan in Botswana. Just us and nature, living freely and how we want to. Not checking the time just looking at the sun. Want to stay a few days? We can because with our car we live completely off grid. We listen to how we feel and what we want to do and live accordingly. That, for us, is ultimate freedom. WARTHOG VS HYENA IN BOTSWANA - Sometimes it's not the big 5 that draws the attention. Here you will see these bad ass warthogs taking over the waterhole. Context: we spotted a hyena taking a bath in this waterhole, the second one was about to take a dip when the warthogs showed up. With full confidence they walked straight to the water. One of them didn't appreciate the presence of the hyenas though, so before having a drink he chased them both away. The hyenas tried a few more times but had to leave with tails between their legs. Warthog 1, hyena 0. BOTSWANA - If you want to go on safari just once in your life, it should be to Botswana and here is why: FAVOURITE PHOTOS OF NAMIBIA II - So here is our last post about our time in Namibia, all our fav vertical pictures (that we didn't post yet).
